Transferring candidates

Transferring Candidates

From your Interviews tab, you can transfer candidates in 2 different ways:

  1. Transfer a candidate from one of your positions to another one of your positions
  2. Transfer a candidate from one of your positions to a coworker’s position

Transferring to your own position

Find the candidate you want to transfer and click Actions > Transfer candidate:


From the modal that appears, select the Existing position option. Then, from the Select position dropdown, select the position you want to transfer the candidate to. Click Complete transfer:

The title of the new position the candidate was transferred to will then update on their card. A Transferred icon will also appear on the candidate card. Hovering your cursor over the icon will tell you what position they were transferred from:



Transferring to a coworker

Find the candidate you want to transfer and click Actions > Transfer candidate:


From the modal that appears, select the Coworker option. Then, from the Select coworker dropdown, select the coworker you want to transfer the candidate to:

After you select a coworker, you can write them a custom message explaining why you’d like to transfer the candidate to them:


Click Complete transfer. Returning to the candidate card, you’ll see the transfer request displayed: 


You can Cancel this transfer up until the time it is accepted or declined by your coworker:



Note: once the transfer is accepted, you will no longer have access to the candidate. 

Receiving a transfer

If a coworker requests to transfer a candidate to you, you will be notified via email:


You will also receive an in-app notification from the bell icon if logged in to your Hired profile:


Clicking on View request in the email or the bell icon notification takes you to your Interviews tab where you will find the candidate card and the corresponding Actions dropdown open. 

Select View request and a modal where you can Accept or Decline the transfer will appear: 

Accepting a transfer

To accept, tick the Accept transfer bubble. Then, from the Position to interview candidate for dropdown, select the desired position. After you select a position, you will see an auto-populated message that will be sent to the candidate to notify them that they have been transferred to you, the new recruiter:

Note: you can edit the auto-populated message to say anything you like.

Click Complete transfer

The candidate’s card then will update to show the title of the new position they were transferred to. Hovering your cursor over the Transferred icon will tell you what position they were transferred from as well as the date of transfer and the coworker who initiated the transfer:


The coworker who initiated the transfer will then receive an email notifying them you accepted the transfer: 


Declining a transfer

To decline, tick the Decline transfer bubble and confirm by clicking the purple Decline transfer button:


The user who requested the transfer will receive email and in-app notifications letting them know the transfer request was declined:


When viewing the candidate card, they will also see a notification banner stating the transfer was declined:
